Loses

Losing Matchbox and The Flying Mule I in 1 year- how can a diecaster deal with it? Easy, spend the money on the other companies and build a new Hangar! (I always wanted to be the first to post in a topic/thread.)

Yeah, it's hard to say good-bye to things and people and places you loved. I sold my entire Matchbox collection not too long ago (I owned every last bird they made) and found the experience less than pleasant.

Still, I moved on and discovered other diecast models that I liked just as much or more.

With Hangar Forum 1 dissolving right before our eyes, it makes you appreciate what was. But where one door closes, another opens.

Here's to a happy and successful Model Hangar II!!!

Well we all have to start over new. It's like spring time after a hard winter - everything is fresh and new. Many of the threads on the old site were old and outdated. Here we have a whole new place to start. Reminds me of a new, never been drawn in sketchbook. The possibilities for the new and old topics we can discuss and re-examine are endless.

Oh yes, I do miss Matchbox models. For the price, they were IMHO a very good deal.

Good for you RedBaron Keep it going! I like new threads. I like polls too (That gives me an idea!)

I've only had a few Matchbox planes....I opened them up and ripped the pilots out

A new forum means new threads, new/old questions....new is good

Matchbox is responsible for getting me (probably a lot of you guys also) into this hobby. I love my Matchbox planes and will not give them up.
Maybe just maybe they will come back.

Your spring/winter analogy is really good. I was kinda thinking of this place a a fresh litterbox and us hobbyists like a litter of young cats. (Hopefully we won't be pi$$ 'n on one another to mark our territory! )

I love(d) the Matchbox planes. I had all of the WWII models, as well asa few of the jets. (Still missing an F-100). Out of all of them, the only easy to see inaccuracy was the guns on the Hellcat not being staggered. Other than that, I had not a single complaint with them (Other than only being able to dispalyed in flight....) I think the MB pilots are the best ones out there - and they look really good in the Dragon planes as well . . .

BRING BACK MATCHBOX, PLEASE !
