Re: Matchbox History/Checklist

Don't have a camera at the mo, Starman. It's pretty much the same as the Corgi Legends version, just that it's Matchbox, and with that all it entails.

Re: Matchbox History/Checklist

I think this one should be "White 59"--

97479 Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat, "White 56", VF-17 "Jolly Rogers", USS Hornet, USN (white diamonds on tail and wingtips)

See here on my Web page. I got the part no. wrong and will correct it (I used the Asst. number off the box, and should have used the number to the right).

Re: Matchbox History/Checklist

Yeah you're right Celtic. I noticed it on the model the other day but forgot to change it.

It would be nice if somebody can post the pics of the matchbox planes.

Re: Matchbox History/Checklist

Thanks for posting that list...are there any pictures of the NF-104? I wonder if there's any chance of our good friends at hobby master producing that

Re: Matchbox History/Checklist

Thanks for your hard work compiling this list! It is a good resource for those of us who got our start with Matchbox.

Is anyone interested in coming up with a similar list and history for other manufacturers?

I think they have for Corgi, it's spelled T-R-I-C-A-T-U-S, pics, #'s, everything you want. What I wish was that Tricatus was doing the same for other companies!
