It will be quite rare to get your hands on one of these considering what the price will probably be.

Adm. Yamamoto, Shawn. Say it with me now.

Yea I thought that was it but I was mixing it with that Battleship Yamato.

Wow! $400 seems very steep. Didn't the first ones list for around the $295 mark? And they were high priced then. I like the Marushin line but their line of planes just are not that detailed, specially for $400.

Sounds like one of the first one hundred will be one of the ones to get. Investment opportunity!

Hell, the way the dollar is dropping, Corgis will be going for 400 bucks a pop before too long!

Yeah - but this one includes a Baka bomb model carried under the fuselage! Remember - this model has been highly sought after as "The Holy Grail" of diecast.

I can see why this one is so expensive. The prop blades and hub are metal? And the Baka is, too?

Re: Another Betty Bomber Is Finally On The Way!

Pretty cool... if indeed true, I will reserve my excitement until... I dunno April 2nd or so. But $400 seems pretty much in line. They were $300 originally and you haven't been able to find one for several years, with rising costs and the weak dollar it's about what I would expect, and made less painful by the Baka.

When you consider some folks are spending $250 for a POTR Lanc in 1:72... $400 is reasonable when you consider you probably get 4x the metal content. (or more) Though I presume it's $400 before shipping -- oiye!

I could be in for one though. Ask me again tomorrow :-)

Correct it is highly sought. But that is just because it's no longer available. The Maurshin line in a good sort of way, is sort of crude. I would not hesitate to spend $500 for a well done highly detail die-cast plane. A Marushin Betty just doesn't fit that mold.
Just my opinion.

Re: Another Betty Bomber Is Finally On The Way!

I would be nice to see some pilot figures...maybe even one in the Baka.
