Re: Hobby Japan Back on EBay

Last I knew, Aikens was back on line, and they are a fine organization, good to do business with.

Re: How dependable is Aikens?

Hi Everyone

How dependable is Aikens? I have never purchased from them. I thought I saw a few posts a while back they were off line. If I look at freight in the Hobby LInk Japan site for a Kate for example and then compare to the HLJ E-bay link the freight is more at times on E-bay vs HLJ home site. .....sort of odd.

Aikens quotes $8 for the first plane and $2 for each extra, but the plane is more expensive ....all in all , aikens with cheaper freight is just a bit more expensive but not by a lot and I'm hopefully not waiting for as long a time. How do they (Aikens) send the shipment fed ex like a GO Hobbies for example, its not clear on their web site.

I bought via Hobby Link Japan before. Jack, Tony, Frank, and George. but the shipping took some time between the order and arrival with no tracking ability like some other sellers provide.

Thanks

Ken

Ken ,
I have bought from them before and i think they have great service....They even throw in some candy too...

Re: Hobby Japan Back on EBay

I suspect it'll take more than ONE candy bar, but I really don't know.....My wife EASILY outspends me, so I have NO problem with her in that regard....the problem is, she leaves me, in effect, with so little money to spend on diecast!

Re: Hobby Japan Back on EBay

It seems we have a contact on the inside with Hobby Master? Do we have any forum members with an inside link to Marushin?... I wonder if they even started the mold for the KI-44 and just never finished them. It remains the only mainstream JAAF fighter not represented.

Re: Hobby Japan Back on EBay

Hobby Japan seems to be offline at the moment, but I just spotted an auction for a decent batch of Maushin planes that you might want to check out. It consists of the Baka rocket, the silver Frank and Tony, and the plain green Jack. I've got most of these already, so it's of no interest to me, but if you're looking to kickstart or add to your Marushin collection, then this looks like a pretty appealing package to me!

Use the keywords Marushin and 1/48.

Even though I modified it, I recommend that Marushin silver Tony highly.

Yep, they are probably on vacation.. I saw this batch and it is a good buy if it stays reasonable, I have a funny deal though about auctions inside of auctions..

Ken, give as delivery address your work address if possible, otherwise that of a reliable friend.
