Re: Hobby Japan Back on EBay

I noticed that other than HJ seller too...

Hobby Japan has sets of pilots on offer now. Four sets in total, two different (army and marine) sets of standing pilots and two different sets of sitting sitting.
They are pricey though...

Can we try with real bullets now?

Re: Hobby Japan Back on EBay

Hey Roowalker, you can get Marushin IJN/IJA pilots for your 1/48 planes at Aikens.

If anyone is interested, I noticed a local Ebayer out of Austin Texas selling a bunch of Marushins (no rare ones), but the prices are as if they were rare.

I seen that to Harry. Did you see his shipping price? $25 dollars!

They sure are, but what really kills it for me is the fact that you get four identical ones - particularly with the standing ones, that'll just look silly. But then again, if you look at Pappy B's pictures of the new silver Tony, a nice pilot figure does look nice with it.

What would be an option is to join in with other forummates and share the pilots between them. For me it's not so convenient to share with someone from the USA, but you're also from the Netherlands I see, Kubikali. If that option sounds interesting to you, do let me know.

Re: Hobby Japan Back on EBay

Aikens sells the figures separately or in sets... still pricey but I think Harry said once you can work a deal with them if you buy them by the box. I think they were 5 each separately...

Re: How dependable is Aikens?

Hi Everyone

How dependable is Aikens? I have never purchased from them. I thought I saw a few posts a while back they were off line. If I look at freight in the Hobby LInk Japan site for a Kate for example and then compare to the HLJ E-bay link the freight is more at times on E-bay vs HLJ home site. .....sort of odd.

Aikens quotes $8 for the first plane and $2 for each extra, but the plane is more expensive ....all in all , aikens with cheaper freight is just a bit more expensive but not by a lot and I'm hopefully not waiting for as long a time. How do they (Aikens) send the shipment fed ex like a GO Hobbies for example, its not clear on their web site.

I bought via Hobby Link Japan before. Jack, Tony, Frank, and George. but the shipping took some time between the order and arrival with no tracking ability like some other sellers provide.

Thanks

Ken
