Got my first Marushin

Got all 3 of these in today and they were actually not too bad to assemble with the exception of trying to get my super glue applied properly. I'll probably end up getting a couple more before it's all said and done, overall I really like them.

Congrats!!
I like Marushin mostly for the heft and the unique subject matter, also, there is just something about them..

Nice choices too Tyler. I have three myself and, like Harry says, you just have to love the heft of these planes

Yeah that's my fear.. After looking at my space I'll probably call it quits after the raiden. Btw I have a little bit of super glue residue that leaked out on my George does anyone know any tricks for removing that safely?

That one is a problem. Everything I know that can remove superglue has tendency to do the same to paint.

I tried goo-b-gone on a q-tip and it helped remove some of it but not all of it.

Re: Got my first Marushin

I'm surprised Goo-B-Gone worked even a little, Tyler.....CA is difficult even to sand off, and like CC says, anything that would remove it would do a number on the paint first. I don't know exactly what you're up against without actually seeing it, but you might try carefully scraping at it with an X-Acto blade....but in actuality you're proabably best off just leaving it alone. You could easily end up with it looking worse unless you've got the modeling skills to repair and repaint it...

I agree with Skunky.. I haven't found any good way to remove CA glue without it damaging the surface..
