Re: The Elusive Marushin G4M "Betty"

When I ordered my Marushins a couple weeks ago from Aikens they said they'd ask about any more Bettys being released and they made a note to contact me if something is coming

That's pretty funny!

Re: The Elusive Marushin G4M "Betty"

Hi Guys, I know that I may be a new member here but I just wanted to say that I do have a Marushin Betty Bomber.

I think that I must have gotten one of the last ones off of Ebay directly from Marushin just after they sold out.

You are one of the truly lucky few! Quite a few forum members (Myself included) would love to have one of these in there collections. Definite show piece to any collection.

This is a great bird. We seen it in 1/48 scale and the new Altaya 1/144 scale but most of us on here (I believe) would love to see and have it in 1/72 scale. Hobby Master...please!

That is so very true...I would like very much to have one made by HM in the 1:72 line.

I built a 1/72 scale some 30 years ago. I remember it was a very nice looking bomber. "The Flying Cigar". HM would be the folks to do it and a great job I am sure. They beat Corgi (or Hornsby...or whoever they are called now) all the way in every model they have come out with. We will see what the Corgi Me-110 looks like when it ever comes out.

Re: The Elusive Marushin G4M "Betty"

Great pictures, Globemaster! I suppose I got one of the last ones too, but mine is the green one. I was always torn between the two, and seeing your pictures brings that all back - this is an excellent scheme for the Betty.

I do wonder, though: did yours go to together well? I never really assembled mine yet (space, space), but the couple of dry runs I tried did reveal that the plastic nosecone was some way off. Yours seems to fit very well, so I was wondering whether you've had to trim it a bit.

And of course your pictures beg the question of whether you have any more Marushin's in your collection! I'm still waiting for someone to post some "in the metal" pictures of the preassembled colletion - the ram raider Frank, the yellow-striped Zero, and so forth. You don't happen to have one of those, do you?
