Review of Marushin BAKA Model #11

I just received the Marushin BAKA Model 11 (Along with the previously cover Oscar). I found this model to also be packed exceptionally well. This is a fairly tiny model with the box to match. Not much to cover on putting this model together. Construction consisted of placement of canopy, plus four smaller horn balances for rudders and stabilizers. The horn balances were fairly small and a little tricky to apply. Model did come with several choices for numbering aircraft, but would have preferred to have model markings factory applied. I am not a fan of adhesive backed markings and have to admit that this was only problem I had with the model. I am really pleased with this model and hope the folks at Marushin get back to putting out some more planes.

Yes it is in 1/48th scale. Shame they did not make a version of the Betty carrying one.

Thanks for the great review + pics. That would look even nicer with a Kamikaze pilot figurine standing next to it, and yes a Betty bomber as well!

Plane came from Aiken's Airplanes and ran at 79.95. Initially I was not going to pick it up, but then remembered missed out on the Bettys when Aikens had them. Still kick myself for that one.
