The K5Y looks nice. Is it a Willow? It's in training colors, so it might be.

There's a guy (username: PierreMarch) on another diecast site who owns a few Marushins. I haven't read his posts in awhile though.

I wonder if this will fit under the Betty?

I have it and the Betty, but there is no way to mount it to the Betty.

Re: I'd kill for some good Marushin pics.

How's this... Note: the mottled green cammo on the Tony was applied post-purchase. Original livery was bare metal finish.

I also repainted landing gear wells and inside cockpits when required to add authenticity. But I really like these models, wish they weren't so hard to find.

Thumbs up Re: I'd kill for some good Marushin pics.

Those are very nice models there, FVD. I love what you've done with the Hien fighter. Cool!

Hey PH-LKK it is a movie about a kamakazie pilot. it starts around about Pearl Harbor and ends when he crashes into a carrier. looks like it could be intresting if it comes with sub titles....to see the movie clips skip the intro about mid page there are four links(under the picture of the clouds banner) click on the last link on the right and that's the clips....good graphics

Ara1, just curious...do you own one of the Marushin floatplane pictured below? Thanks.

Re: I'd kill for some good Marushin pics.

Hey FlyXwire,

I wish I owned one. I have NOTHING Japanese and I'm not happy about it. I've got a ton of reference books on the JNAF an JAAF, but no diecasts. I was set the buy the Rufe for $32.50 before FM got into the price control business.

As an aside, I think the Jill's one of the hottest ships going, esp. with the butterfly flaps and radar. Judy's nice, too-- both radial and inline.

What do you have with the Hinomaru?

I've all the IXO Nisshōki marked fighters and dive bomber so far, and I recently purchased the FM/Armour "Rufe" floatplane. I am considering getting the 1/48th N1k2 Shiden-Kai "George"
and possibly the K5Y "Willow" up above. I would love to own the Betty bomber if I could find one and possibly get the Kamikaze "Baka" rocket plane to display with it. I love Japanese a/c of all stripes as you can imagine.

Re: I'd kill for some good Marushin pics.

I just received a gift from Japan, a Marushin Zero Type 52. I'm on the road, so don't want to assemble it just yet. But I have taken a couple of pictures someone might find interesting. Looks like a very nicely done model!
