Looking for Hien/Tony pictures -- models

Any of you model builders know of good sites for master-crafted builds of Hiens? Looking for some reference pics to compare my new Marushin, which I'm in process of assembling (lots of pieces, but much more fun that a Dragon -- probably just cuz the parts are bigger :-) )

Re: Looking for Hien/Tony pictures -- models

Thanks Fly, aready tried google pics

I know there are a couple model sites with awesome pics of completed builds, but can't recall them for the life of me... but that's more what I'm looking for.

Specifically, I'm interested to see if the model should have silver cannons protruding from the gun ports, rather than recessed guns... many of hte model images and artists sketches seem to be recessed.. and the silver just looks strange to me.

Try this link Pappy:

Scroll down the list to find the pics you want. This site also has a gallery of completed builds for many other planes (arranged alphabetically)

That's the ticket! Thanks Black6!

Looks like perhaps the cannon barrels should be there for some versions, but black/gun metal... not silver (unless that's just factory fresh?)

Re: Looking for Hien/Tony pictures -- models

PappyB, when I built my Marusin Tony, I cut those tubes in half before placing them in the holes.
This may not be historically accurate, but it looks way better than the long tubes sticking out as
guns.

I would tend to agree, though I don't think I'll cut 'em -- it's the same way with my George... -- most of the pics I've been able to find seem to indicate the guns should be recessed, though... very, very few of the kit model pics I found have the barrels. And those that do look shorter...

Re: Looking for Hien/Tony pictures -- models

Thanks for posting those WM! Looks right afterall, I guess we're supposed to paint them ourselves if we want with the Marushin kit... I'm gonna leave 'em as is. They look a bit too long on the model but not as much as I had thought.
