New Atlas Editions Dueling Fighter Line

I don't know how many of you have been following the progress of the new 1:72nd scale "Dueling Fighter" line by Atlas Editions which is now coming out in the UK, but the prospects seem interesting. The models are in the wheels up configuration and are decently painted, however they fall short in other qualitative areas, as is true of most Altaya/IXO/Atlas- style, mass produced, low priced products. You can see pictures of the first two planes by going onto the Atlas Editions website ( a BF-109E and Spitfire ). What interests me is the list of upcoming models in this line as posted on the DAF by a member who got the information from the seller, Atlas. Included in various pairings are these models:

Tempest
BF-110C
Tony
Gladiator
Macchi ( I assume this is the 202 )
ME-163
Fiat G-55
LA-7
Defiant
Ilyushin ( IL-2 , probably )
MS-406
FW-190D
Storch
Lysander
Mosquito FBVI
Nakajima ( My guess is either an Oscar or Frank, though it might be a Tojo )

Also included are many of the "usual suspects" ( P-51, Hellcat, Zero, Hurricane, etc ).

At first blush, this sounds an awful lot like the recent IXO line and it may be that some of the IXO molds are being recycled by Atlas. However the dark printed panel lines featured by IXO do not seem to be a characteristic of the Atlas series and some of the planes--the Storch, for example---are new. I don't know whether these models will be available via U.S. online dealers, though they will probably start popping up on eBay eventually. My only interest, obviously, is in new models, such as the Storch , Tempest and ME-163, which have not been put out as yet by a quality diecast maker, and possibly the MC-202, Morane , Fiat G-55, Tony, Mig-3, Oscar and LA-7, providing these are new molds, not an IXO rehash.

Hmm, this line is worth keeping an eye on, thanks for the info Epapazian.
I agree with you on which are the interesting ones, Storch would be high on my list.

Few of those listed look pretty interesting.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Ditto. I'd definitely go for a Storch if the quality was decent, plus the Nakajima if it isn't one that IXO has already put out, like a Ki-44.

Re: New Atlas Editions Dueling Fighter Line

DAF member, chosenman, was kind enough to take a new set of pictures of the BF-109E and Spitfire, at my request. The models appear to have just enough detail to make them passable gap fillers for the unusual aircraft planned for this series. The pictures follow:
