Thumbs up Love them New Releases 1st two.

Morane-Saulnier M.S.406 Fighter

Russian Lavochkin La-7 Fighter

I saw on here somewhere where someone said the Morane Saulner looked like someone threw up on it, that person must be nuts.

Both of these planes look awesome and will stay in my collection forever.

Plus I doubt anyone else will do them ever.

The La-7 IS very nice, one of the better IXO's. The Yak 3 looks good too

I just looked these over on their web site and they do look nice. How does the MS 406 compare to the D-520? The 520 is one of my favorites, is the 406 finished comparably?

Also who is the best source for these in the US? My retailer seems to get only sporadic shipments...

Re: Now edited posts above.

FYI: I allow the promotion of products, but not the sale of said products. Make references by PM.

I know that this seems silly, but a competing dealer cannot post that he has them for sale too without violating the rules.

Sorry if I broke a rule. I understood it was o.k. to identify a dealer that has product if there is no direct link and no reference to price. I looked at the rule I could find about this (see below) and am now confused. My post, and the one that preceded it, merely answered a prior poster's question as to where IXO planes could be found. Are you interpreting the rule to say it is acceptable to say some dealer, for example, will have a particular product in stock at some point in the future but to prohibit reporting that a product is currently in stock? Would you amplify so I won't foul up again?

Not Allowed:
  • Language of a commercially comparative nature or indicating pricing.
    Example:
Store X has product XYZ cheaper than Store Y.
    or
Store X has product XYZ for X price.
  • Direct linking to a specific pages on commercial sites. General site linking will be permitted in the "Market Place" section only.
  • The use of URL tags in signatures. Listing urls in signatures will be allowed in plane text only.
  • Commercial Spamming is prohibited. This will be defined at the discretion of the Administrator and Moderator corps.
  • Posting pictures that act as a link. This is prohibited regardless of the links destination (commercial or not).
  • Repeat posting to gain "New Posts" status.
Allowed:
  • Non-competitive promotion of products.
    Example:
Company X is coming out with product XYZ and we hope to have it in-stock by X date.
    or
Company X is having a sale on product XYZ from beginning date X to ending date X.
  • Listing plain text (non-linking) contact information for a commercial interest in the "Good Deals" area of the "Marketplace" section only.
  • Posting direct linking to personal auctions. Auction stores will be prohibited. I will be aggressively verifying the status of the links.
  • Posting product pictures with watermarks that include your sites url.
  • Linking directly to any non-commercial entity with "URL" tags.

Re: Love them New Releases 1st two.

Gentlemen,to those who love IXO. I wish a long and happy relationship, for me, the honeymoon is over. Yesterday I received 4 of the latest releases, the morane saulnier-liked it somewhat. The yak-3 is a total disaster, sagging spinner- wheel well covers painted grey instead of blue- landing gear so ill fitting I couldn't motivate myself to attempt a correction. The stand wouldn't snap together. Had to be crazy glued along with the spinner. The LA-7 is a very nice model- now in flying position because of the undercarriage. The Avenger is a total mess, paint chipped on many of the plastic parts and a paint job that would satisfy a five year old. No matter what model they release in the coming months, none will ever find its way into my collection. THE DIVORCE IS FINAL Swoop

Too picky, I did not get the Avenger, but the other three look fine whats your issue with the LA7, my gear looks like the pictures someone on here posted. For $22.00 each I like them just fine.

Different stokes, for different folks. That said, I hear you Swoop, starting to feel the same way myself. Though I suspect I'll still pick up that odd model no one else will ever do.

As for the La-7, its gear definitely looks too long to me -- it looks strange to me in the gear down config, almost like it's on stilts, and yes I've looked at pics of the the real thing (and I saw an La-7 in person at a recent airshow, I'll try to post a link to my pic from the show below). It does sit high, but the model takes it to the extreme. Still the nicest IXO in the current wave that I've seen though.

http://www.klett.phanfare.com/album/...116796/5446880 (or was this an la-9.. memory foggy, too many diecast since then.. )

La-9 image below too:

I just dont' see how they're that great of a bargain now either, the $22-$25 people are charging are pretty much the same as Dragon's props and Corgi's, and HM's. ??

If IXO's were $15, or AT LEAST back to their original $19.99, they'd be a lot more palatable IMHO.

Still, as I've said before, some of them do retain a certain charm for me.
