Didn't know it was "rare" -- I couldn't give mine away on ebay not too long ago....

I have it and also the very rare Altaya desert 110 also. Nice editions to the HM versions.

I liked the German IXO/Altayas and really like their Japanese planes.

Re: IXO Bf-110 at Mule

I have two Me-110C/D from IXO/Altaya collection and two Me-110G from HM.
There is no comparison between those two editors, but both are worth money you spend.
IXO is more basic with terrible quality of plastic parts (landing gear!), but two schems they have chosen are looking thogether very well.
I won't sell mine even for 20$ a piece.

Re: IXO Bf-110 at Mule

While I can't give any IXO model better than a C+ rating, including the BF-110, it's amazing that the canopy on this model looks far more realistic than the one Hobby Master fashioned for its BF-110G series. Since IXO did everything on the cheap, I still wonder how this disparity in such an important feature of the model came to pass. The same could be said for IXO's HE-219. Again, the model is flawed and the paint scheme isn't right, but the radar antennae look far better than those overly thick jobs H M put on its BF-110G. Returning to IXO's BF-110, I have repainted two of these and corrected many errors, omissions, etc in the process, with fairly satisfying results. However, it's hard to ignore the impressionistic paint schemes they concocted for this and other models in their series. A consistant thread is their use of oversized insignias, lettering, etc. and the three-tone paint scheme on the first BF-110, while interesting, is not a fair representation of how the plane in question really looked. One has the impression that the IXO designers worked from a picture book someone sent them. If all they had was a side view, then they made up the rest. Perhaps, that's a tad harsh, but I sense that very little research went into the execution of this line.

(LOL, nice try -- I did finally sell it for $20 I think.... I do have one left, somewhere, that I've kept for comparison's sake. There was a point when these were commanding a decent price on the aftermarket, but that ship has sailed I think.)
