| repair parts One of my propeller blades broke off my Dornier Do 335A-1 Pfeil. What are the chances IXO would have a replacement propeller? I tried to glue the blade back on the hub but it won't stay attached. I welcome any suggestions. Thanks LM | |||||||||||||

| Re: repair parts Did you try superglue? I had the same problem with a prop, superglue worked well. | |||||||||||||

| Re: repair parts Contact IXO customer service, they are excellent!!!! They may not reply to your email as quickly as you would hope, but be patience. As for the contact information (email address) you will have to search the fourms since I don't have it on hand. | |||||||||||||

| Re: repair parts When the prop blade is thick enough---as looks to be the case with IXO's DO-335--- it's possible to "pin" the blade back on--assuming it broke off cleanly where it protrudes from the spinner. This requires a pin vise, some crazy glue, a thin brass rod , some fine grain sandpaper and black paint or the equivilent, in this case, of RLM 70 ( a black-green color ). Using the smallest drill bit, I drill a small hole about an eighth of an inch deep in both the spinner and the bottom of the blade, where the two are meant to join, Then I insert a small piece of the rod into the hole in the blade, apply some glue and meld the two parts together. The pin, combines with the glue to give you a strong bonding. Then, a bit of careful sanding, plus a bit of painting and you're done. | |||||||||||||
