I just received this model today, and I have to say that I am not impressed at all. I should say that I am a fan of IXO/Altaya's previous 1/72 releases, and own most of them. This model looks like a child's toy to me. I haven't removed it from its packaging, the weight of it leads me to believe that most, if not all of the plane is made of plastic. The panel lines are nice, and it certainly looks like a B-24, but it just looks really cheap IMHO. Surface detail is a noticeable step up for this manufacturer, and the landing gear is quite detailed. The fact that the gear is fixed with no option for a gear-up display is too bad. The horizontal stab is a bit droopy, and the vertical stabs are crooked. The silver paint job is chipped in places. Maybe my expectations were just too high, maybe it's the fact that I'm new to the scale. If I decide to keep it I will post pics. Thanks.
