Henschel Hs.129

I've already highlighted the initial-problems I've encountered on my 'Maiden-Voyage' with my new 'little' Digital 'point & snap' camera......
In the 'F.M.' Curtiss Kittyhawk RAF 112 Squadron 'thread' !!!!!!!!!

& that's WITHOUT having to resort to a "Tank-Nut" type " $1 - cardboard-'special-deal' type camera ala "shake-rattle & roll"

I've posted these, not for the pix - but for anyone wondering whether (or not) to buy/pick-up an 'IXO' Henschel Hs.129.

I reckon it's rather nice - oil-residue not-withstanding

Re: Henschel Hs.129

Hornchurch,
Hey there.

Yeah, the HE129 is good, except I really hate the fact that IXO made the decision to mould the landing gear open as part of the frame. I really want my gear up option to be gear up. However, it is another example of, Who else would even dream of making this?"

Anything for a weird life.

Thumbs up Re: Henschel Hs.129

I didn't get one while I had the chance now I'm kicking myself. It's OK but then again no-one else makes them. I have a He219 to swap for one if anyone is interested.

Re: Henschel Hs.129

IXO looks to have done a fairly good job on this model. I might have to start snooping around to see if I can pick one of these up.

Seems to still be plenty in the pipeline.

Re: Henschel Hs.129

This is one of the better IXOs, however the splinter camouflage pattern on the upper surface is rather impressionistic, especially on the left wing. Also the crosses on the wings are oversized---a common IXO trait, and some markings are missing. It's all pretty easy to correct and I would recommend this one to a collector seeking diversity.

Exactly djjfh - which is why I took the trouble to pick one up, even though I'd gone in to buy other stuff.....

I really rate it - arguably the best 1/72 IXO around ?

I concur. I have all the IXO Luftwaffe exotics myself!
