Re: Beaufighter?

Very cool IXO release. My only gripe is that IXO doesn't include the necessary parts for presenting their dual engine models in landing gear "up" mode.

Here's some links:
burmabeaufighters.com/pages/beaufighters.php
military.cz/british/air/war/fighter/beaufighter/beaufighter_en.htm
world-war-2-planes.com/bristol_beaufighter.html

I'm tempted to get this model as well. Looks really good!

I think you meant closeups of the model?

Re: Beaufighter?

To me it's one of the better IXO releases but I decided after looking at one in person to hold off and hope someone else makes one

Re: Beaufighter?

I've alwats loved the Beaufighter. In fact I like its looks better than the Mosquito And IXO's is pretty good. Well worth getting

I'm doing what I usually do to most of my models, detail painting and a coat of Dullcoat flat, then I'll be even happier

But I say go get it!!

Re: Beaufighter?

For $23.00 to $30.00 no one else will do one.

But if you do not mind waiting for at least a year or two for someone to release it, whos know.

But if its Corgi it will be better probably, but will sell for $45.00 or more dollars. Corgi is so hit and miss on pricing. No one can figure out why the P-38s as nice as they may be are so much more than a Corsair, I can see $5.00, but give me a break $45.00 for the P-38?? Seems a tad high to me. Of course next year they will release it in a Legends or Warbird and you can get one for $20.00 to $26.00 , I bet they do it.

I myself am happy with my $23.98 IXO of this model.

Thumbs up Re: Beaufighter?

I really like mine. Agreed the lack of a gear up option is unfortunate but heck I certainly can live w/ that especially for the price, I paid about $25 for mine, which I view as reasonable.
I am most frustrated w/ distribution of IXO product. It seems so hit and miss here in the western US. I see you all talking about some of the Russian fighters which I have never even seen a pic of let alone in person!
While I'm at it though the Beaufighter is one of my favorite IXO's. "Why JC" I hear you asking, "what might your other favorite IXO's be? Do tell". Well since you asked: Ki-43, this little fella is such a nice change of pace from the same old Japanese green or grey paint jobs, and looks great next to my "Flying Tigers" P-40's (This was one of their more common opponents in China, not the Zero which it was often mistaken for). Also the HS-129, very cool, and the HE-219. The 219 is fairly simple but... I just love that plane! It looks like some sort of predatory bug!
