Blackburn Skua

Anyone got any (serious) good suggestions, as to where to find several decent photo's of the 1/72nd scale Die-Cast ' Blackburn Skua ' ???

Re: Blackburn Skua

Been learning lots here lurking so time to give back. Here are some photos of the Altaya version. It isn't perfect but I suspect you'll be waiting a long while for someone else to do it.

Nice pics, 1250! Where did you get the carrier deck section? Inquiring minds (with a lot of carrier-borne models) want to know! Thanks!

The deck is the one included in the Corgi Corsair set US61005 with the Corsair of Lt. Cdr. Roger Hedrick. I'm primarily a ship guy but decided to collect some 1/72 aircraft with the emphasis being carrier based planes that would fit in with my ship collection. I bought the set mostly to get that base because I'm not a big Corsair fan.

I'd love to have a larger deck piece for display purposes but as far as I know no one makes one.

When I get around to it I also have the Altaya Grace model and I'll post some photos of it.

Re: Blackburn Skua

That sure does look good. It kills me that the IXO's I want I cant get. For a decent price. The I-16, Buffalo and Skua ! I wish the flying mule would get these.

Re: Blackburn Skua

Bitzahawk-
I'm waiting for my IXO I-16 (and MiG-3), too... Until the I-16 finally/ever arrives, Model Power's I-16 pretty nice. In some ways, I think it actually looks better than IXO's version (at least from the pictures of it I've seen). The panel lines on the IXO I-16 look pretty overdone.

I would but I don't have either of them. I'd like to have a Buffalo but I want US markings.

The Die Cast Ace site has good photos of the I-16:
