Re: Altaya "Jack" Raiden

Got one.

Looks great and I love it!

Keeping it no matter what (1/72 scale replacement would cost more and better quality is VERY questionable IMHO)

nough said!

Re: Altaya "Jack" Raiden

lanslide,
Hey there.

As I'm sure you know, IXO is very hit and miss. Their Japanese planes are generally very good. The Jack is a nice little bird and really heavy from what I remember? Sorry, to lazy to go over and grab it off whatever shelf its hidden on. I think she is well worth the time and money. (Though don't go all Ebay crazy over it. I'm sure they will be reissued at some point if there is any interest.

As for why we don't get more Japanese stuff, or Russian for that matter, they don't sell. Plain and simple. I wish they did as there are lots of birds I'd like to get, but I doubt sales would last long enough to justify production

Anything for a weird life.

Re: Altaya "Jack" Raiden

I have to echo the sentiments of many of the previous postings. I have all the IXO Japanese aircraft except for the Grace (horrid little thing) and are happy with them. When I got my Marushin Raiden I almost immediately compared it to the IXO version which didn't come off half bad. With the exception of the Japanese and just one or two of my other IXO planes, I will sell them all off when something better comes along. They are just something to fill the holes in the collection

Re: Altaya "Jack" Raiden

Keep checking eBay, that is where I got mine. The Flying Mule has a bunch of Japanese WWII IXO's but not this one. Good luck. I have one and its a keeper.

Talking Re: Altaya "Jack" Raiden

I actually got a Raiden from IXO for free. I'd asked about whether their He 219 had an interchangeable undercarriage since mine didn't. As an aside I asked whether they had the Raiden. They sent me both.

I just saw an eBay "buy it now" listing for the Jack for $28. The seller is Toys And Hobbies Collectibles.
