I'm out of sync with you boys. I'm getting the Macchi 205 and Bloch 152 at the end of the month. They are also getting a Hellcat but I've ordered the Dragon one.

Of the birds you are discussing I'd go with the Ki-84, La 7 and MS 406. I wouldn't even consider the Avenger even though the weathered scheme doesn't look bad. I'd wait for HB.

Where do you get the IL 2?

I do like the subjects so far... Distribution here on the left coast U.S. seems inconsistant. The last IXO I picked up were the HE 219, DO 335, HS 129, etc. These all arived here together. We have though had the Ki 84, D 520 etc. for some time here. All nice. My only consistant beef w/ IXO is the quality of the plastic bits... Some are certainly better than others.

Went to the Flying Mule and looked up IXO. Found all the models with Sept/Oct. delivery dates. Went to Diecast Direct and verified the planes were supposedly going to be released. Didn't list them because there were quite a few shown. All of these have been released as Altaya models already. Hope this helps wmosner.

No POs for me now. I like the Bloch, Frank and LA-7 but I think they'll get cheap andbe on sale. I can't believe these will go like the Luftwaffe birds did...


Seems the Oscar and D-520 are still around....but not the I-16

I am getting these three for sure, I was told only 6 or so models are being released and these are three of them. I dont do pre-orders, I usually get most of my stuff off of Ebay at a good deal on both price and shipping.

Like I said before I am happy with most of my IXO, and I am hoping they will have different markings. This one I will have in a week or two, that maybe in December if we are lucky.

Has anyone come across a source for the IXO Blackburn Skua other the e-bay? I did my apprenticeship with Blackburn's, so have a special interest in it...even though it was long before my time!!! I even went out a few times with Mr. Blackburn's niece in my misspent youth.
