Strange no ?

Interesting yes. I'll take that 110 though. Better than a re-issue of the same thing.

Re: Altaya collection not finished

That desert 110 is enticing. Hmmmm.

I have one from their first release and it isn't too bad - for an IXO.

Re: Altaya collection not finished

I was checking out Altaya web site and it shows nothing about these but, also on top of the page is some more planes I have seen nothing on including a P-47 checkertail. I wish they would release here in the States #45. Messerschmitt Bf 109K-4. You got to hand it to Altaya they put out the planes no ones would even considers until after Altaya, etc: P-38 and the Typhoon.

Re: Altaya collection not finished

Are these the first examples of a second scheme for a IXOAltaya casting?

The usual approach is 3 castings with dozens of schemes for each. The IXO way is dozens of castings with one scheme each.

Anything more been heard about the USN Buffalo?

Ron

I think this is part of the fun of collecting. I believe there are some planes the big boys will make given enough time. The Typhoon and P38 being good examples. The Me110 and Beaufighter being other examples. Question is, how do you call the ball? I didn't get the Tiffie or the Beaufighter for example. What d'y know, the Typhoon is here! I get IXOs as fillers only. For things no-one else will make, they're great. Again, its your call...

I think IXO should be commended for the shear number of castings, many of them obscure. Maybe a little less molds of higher quality would have been a better compromise though.

For the Buffalo, l'd suggest you have a look at Hobby Master. They're doing a Buffalo soon. Check out Hawkonevoodoo's site.

Re: Altaya collection not finished

You better believe that altaya only produces 53 or 54 airplanes for their booklet collection and that Ixo is reissuing them as regular diecasts. Aftter theyve reissued all of them, ITS OVER.No more new airplanes. The ones in Altayas Website is all you will ever get...

So its better to stop asking them to produce that special decast you like, its a colection and we know every single one that will ever be produced...

Its in Altaya.pt and altaya.es.
