Welcome Diecast Direct!

Just wanted to say hello and welcome to Diecast Direct who is the US Distributor for IXO. Personally I really like the Altaya/IXO stuff for the unique models nobody else has given us, paticularly the Bf110, Defiant, La-7, Buffalo, Hs-129, He-219, Mc-202, Beaufighter, Yak-3, He-162... the list goes on!

A few questions for you DD... first, can you tell us if and when some of the other Altaya models may reach US shores in IXO guise, like the Mig-3, Il-2 Sturmovik and P-39?... and second, is there any hopes of new liveries for existing castings? A few examples I'd like to see would include a Battle of Britain Defiant in RAF earth/green livery, a P-39 in Soviet colors, a Bf-110 in the early all black night fighter scheme, and an American pre-war Brewster Buffalo. Here's hoping...

Re: Welcome Diecast Direct!

I agree, Welcome! I noticed that Diecast Direct had joined the forum today. It's very encouraging to see dealers, distributors, and manufacturers getting involved.

Re: Welcome Diecast Direct!

We are in constant discussions with Altaya and trying to produce more planes in the existing paint schemes. We also would like to see some new toolings of our own. These suggestions like the Battle of Britain Defiant in RAF earth/green livery, a P-39 in Soviet colors, a Bf-110 in the early all black night fighter scheme, and an American pre-war Brewster Buffalo are great suggestions. I will take note of these planes that you just asked about and will forward them to the right person.

As for the next shipment arriving in our warehouse.
I can tell that the next shipment should arrive in February 2007. An official anouncement of new arrivals will be given out at the first part of January.
