Re: IXO Stormovik

Welcome aboard MBV. Looking forward to the pictures, if you get a chance to post them.

By the way, does MBV stand for My Bloody Valentine?

Re: IXO Stormovik

I think there is a real Stormovik preserved in the Nation Air and Space Museum. I don't think it is on display right now though.

Re: IXO Stormovik

Thanks to all for the warm welcome and great input! I decided to pre-order the IL-2 and the IL-10, what the heck I will certainly post pics when/if I get them, if anyone might want them. Thanks again!

Re: IXO Stormovik

I have never seen an IL-10 for sale, are these really out there to buy ? I generally get my IXO's via Ebay from Spain.

Re: IXO Stormovik

Yup, I've seen the Altaya IL-10 for sale from European eBayers, mbv, though not lately. IL-2 seem to be scarce these days too. Neither has been issued by IXO for the US/UK market yet, but hopefully soon. Mig-3 too if we're lucky.

Re: IXO Stormovik

I found that there is at least one real one in storage at the Air and Space Museum.

Re: IXO Stormovik

Say, I've never understood the little "divet" taken out of the top cowling. Does anyone know what that design feature is for? Thanks!
