WOW - Sharp-Eyed Man, no4. You really do have your fingers ON the pulse !!!!!!!!! B.T.W. Harking back to earlier in the thread, you mentioned having no choice in your 264 Sqdn ' Daylight' colour scheme. No 141 Sqdn also used Defiants in the early part of the Battle (same colours), BUT, with no-where near as much sucess, as 264. Apparently the Sqdn Ldr of No.141, was neither, none to keen on his mount - nor on developing tactics suited to the a/c. Suggestions by Philip Hunter (264's commander) fell on deaf-ears; then on one of their first outings, whilst flying along the English Channel, they were set upon & decimated (apparently continuing ahead in a straight-line - bizarre ?). You made the right choice (of subject !), but I'm biased anyway !!! | ||||||||||||||

Ignore the inane (IL.2) comments underneath The wing planform & tail shape, tell their own story; (BESIDES the turret), for those who have difficulty I.D.'ing the a/c.
