| Re: Is Ixo worth the money
You're right, it really depends on the price point and how much metal you like in your models. I really like their Mc-202 (with authentic markings) and He-162 jet; unique and well done models that complement Corgi and Dragon Axis aircraft ![]() | |||||||||||||||

| Re: Is Ixo worth the money I have IXO/Altaya's Skua, Buffalo and D.520, and am pretty satisfied with all of them. My plan is to buy only their more esoteric models, and leave the P-51s and Spitfires to Corgi and Dragon. I wish Corgi and Dragon would produce some French and Italian aircraft! | ||||||||||||||

| Re: Is Ixo worth the money Growing market saturation endangers the value of all brands. We need to be recuiting collectors. I'm thinking ROTC and Civil Air Patrol cadets may fill the ranks in the future. I'm going to donate a 1/48th Franklin Mint F-15 to my local C.A.P. squadron to try and stimulate interest from the youngsters. | ||||||||||||||

| Re: Is Ixo worth the money Holy Crimeny, is this an old thread or what-??! What am I doing here??? ![]() For me, the “are IXO models worth the expense” issue boils down to this: It’s strictly in the eye of the beholder. For me, IXOs are junk, pure and simple. I own a bunch, and with few exceptions – they stink. That’s just an opinion, but it’s mine, and I’m sticking to it. ![]() For other collectors, though, IXO models are the bee’s knees, if only because IXO issues models nobody else produces or is likely to produce, and that’s terrific. Who am I to suggest they’re wrong and I’m right, or visa versa? It’s all in the eye of the beholder: What’s one man’s poison is another man’s elixir (or something like that). Ain’t that profound? | ||||||||||||||
