Has anyone purchased the IXO ME-262?

Hey there folks,

I was wondering if anyone on the forum has purchased the IXO ME-262? I've got a few IXO's, so I'm aware of their general flaws, but I have to admit that a ME-262, any ME-262, is intriguing.

I've got a couple of Dragon and Corgi ME-262's and I know that in a blow-by-blow breakdown the IXO falls short but compared to other IXO's does it stand up?

Thanks

I've got it and like it, but it's no match for the corgi and dragon versions.....although it has one interesting detail. The Altaya/IXO me-262 looks like it's the fighter bomber version because it has racks below the nose for bombs or fuel tanks (looks like the latter on the altaya version.....but one can think of an easy conversion)

I got it and like it, not as much as my Avenger which peeple bashed on here, but I love mine, I dont see any issue with these that all the rest dont also have, I like the way the panel lines look. I was at an Airshow a few months back and some of the real birds looked the same way up close?

People bashed the Avenger? I thought mine was rather well done.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

No to your question regarding the ME-262. I've got a Corgi and one iis enough for now. However, I did receive two IXO releases yesterday: a Heinkel He 219A-O (Uhu) and the Dornier Do 335A-1 (Pfeil). Both are well done, but the Pfeil is really terrific. Both of the planes are on display at the Udvar-Hazy [Smithstonian] center, and these two IXO issues truly do the real aircraft justice. I've purchased a number of IXO releases recently and with the exception of the YAK-3, I've been pretty satisfied with their products. Yes, they could use some help on fit, especially landing gear, and general mold quality, but on the whole IXO offers good value for the money. The YAK-3 is the exception to the rule. How the QC boys at IXO let this poor issue reach the marketplace is a mystery. A bigger mystery is why the wholesalers, distributors and retailers flog ths dog. Either don't sell them or advise the buyer in advance of the problem. Yeah, I know, dream on.

At least IXO gives you the "loop antenna" which Draggin' does not! Did the Germans actually use this color scheme???
