Re: buffalo

A fine little plane. The landing gear is stable (when glued). The gear-up option is crap (mine is "parked"). Would look better w/the blue swazis. I'll get another when they're $14.99 & put on decals.

Re: buffalo

Waiting for IXO to get off their duffs and release this one. I don't like having to buy these from overseas - shipping costs are outrageous!

Re: buffalo

I'm with Tri-motor (in a manner of speaking). When I can get one for a good price I'll get some decals and do it to it (in a manner of speaking)

Talking Re: buffalo

I like it alot.
I think looks very cute.
I imagine it kept getting shot down though.
I know nothing of this plane but it cant have stood much of a chance against a mustang or anything?
Maybe i'm wrong maybe it was as amazing as the Polikarpov.
Which incidentaly is my favorite russian plane.
I wish Corgi would make a model of it.
the polikarpov I mean.
Although a corgi buffalo might be nice too.

The National Museum of Naval Aviation in Pensacola, FL is restoring a Brewster Buffalo, and an early model Brewster Corsair.

Re: buffalo

I bought the Altaya Buffalo recently via a Spanish seller on eBay. Altaya prices are generally becoming more realistic now as more IXO gets released here in the USA, and mine cost about what they will when the come stateside via IXO - $20, plus a reasonable $8 to ship here from Spain.

For anyone interested, Squadron.com has Finnish decals on sale right now (through Oct 31) and I got the Bf-109 set (AU7003, just 49¢!!) to decal my Buffalo. Check it out - sure makes for one handsome little bird (one of Altaya/IXO's best IMHO....)

(And by the way, the Finns did very well vs the Russians with this little machine....)
