Re: buffalo

They're your typical water transfer plastic model decals, fileasfog. They're fairly easy to work with particularly since the model has a nice smooth finish. I recommend a quick surface wash before decalling though, just to remove any oils and aid decal adhesion. And you can't beat the price from Squadron!

Re: buffalo

I bought the Altaya Buffalo recently via a Spanish seller on eBay. Altaya prices are generally becoming more realistic now as more IXO gets released here in the USA, and mine cost about what they will when the come stateside via IXO - $20, plus a reasonable $8 to ship here from Spain.

For anyone interested, Squadron.com has Finnish decals on sale right now (through Oct 31) and I got the Bf-109 set (AU7003, just 49¢!!) to decal my Buffalo. Check it out - sure makes for one handsome little bird (one of Altaya/IXO's best IMHO....)

(And by the way, the Finns did very well vs the Russians with this little machine....)

That looks great no4 That's what I want to do as soon as IXO reissues it.....soon I hope!

I wish more companies did Finnish planes.

squadron.com has a great selection of decals from all different makers. I've been doing business with Squadrn Shop since 1970!!

Now that I have the decals they'll probably never reissue it

Re: buffalo

I repair accordions so I guess I do have hands, however I was traumatised in my youth, by those wet decals that would tear or be misaligned etc...
Maybe decal technology changed since I was ten.

Re: buffalo

I'm with you on that too HotTrap....Waiting in the wings....
JP

Just got in the door alittle bit ago from the Orlando Ale House. Had a nice black and tan brewski(s) along with some spicy "buffalo" wings. Made me think of the cute little Buffalo by IXO.

Oh...sorry, this thread was on the Brewster Buffalo...misread it and thought it first said "BREWSKIS & BUFFALOS". ME so sorry.
