Re: Ixo P-40 ?

Nice job, Trap, very nice!

Regarding the negatives on this IXO, however, why don't you tell us what you REALLY think, don't sugarcoat it!

I WAS trying to be nice Captain. Don't want to upset anyone here so I just focused on the positives. Really though, IXO is the most inconsistent maker of diecast I have ever seen. How can the same people who make the Raiden, Hien, and Oscar, make this P-38, Hellcat and P-40? I used this model because:
1) it's the only 1/72 P-40N available and
2) it was relatively cheap on ebay so I got two.

Another custom job is in the future for my second IXO P-40N.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Thought I already was! Or was that just my stink bait that I forgot to put back in the garage?

Thank you! I think I'm finally getting the hang of this customizing thing and I think I'm getting better. Planenuts is the real artist - you should see some of his work! I've got two more IXO P-40Ns waiting to be done. I've got two decal sheets with 5 other versions including decals for the plane that IXO is selling. Should be fun.

Re: Ixo P-40 ?

I just ordered one of these. It's the only P-40N in diecast, and it's the only long-tail P-40. The Corgi P-40F should be a long tail, but they use their P-40E casting with a new top cowling (no air scoop) to make the F.
