Well my only response to this would be: TRUTH!

Still any word if HM is still going to put out a black nose JR F-4?

doubtful

I'd say they will make a black nosed JR after all the white nosed JRs sell out but not 'till a few other versions are made.

Or a special/limited release, like the CAF Starfighter - little tweak not in big numbers but made collectors happy. I think at first what bugged me about the white is that the background was white. Looking at other F-4J USN squadrons with white noses on deck they don't look bad. Either way I'm buying it. All we need now is the:
F8F Bearcat of VF-61

F9F-2 Panther VF-61

F9F-6 Cougar VF-61

F9F-8 Cougar VF-61 (hopefully any F9F in 1/72)

FJ-3 Fury

F3H-2M Demon

F-8C Crusader (CW's would have to make a new mold)

and lastly the F-4B Phantom II

Then we'll get all the Jolly Roger's and as you guys know, the Bones sell

Nice group of photos there, forcerecon! I especially want a JR Bearcat, Panther and Fury in 1/72 scale.

That Bearcat is long overdue to be made in a diecast..
I like the Jolly Rogers F4 but i wish that nose was black...
I have mine on pre-order can't wait to see it.

I think the white nose on the JR Phantom makes it more unique. But I'll need a black nosed one too eventually.

Never mind black or white nose, so long as it is a pointed nose, it is a diecast worth spending my money on! ... Now, didn't someone famous say something similar before?

Agree, and would add: What about a special Panther/Cougar boxed set!?

Maybe someone like HM will do the F-4B with a black nose? Maybe they'll do one over the next few years before they're done with all Phantoms.

Black/White, as long as it has the SKULL and CROSSBONES! To go along with my Macross Valkyries and one and only JR TOMCAT
