Looking forward to the new planes!

I was browsing some of the vendors we sites and came across one with pics of the new offerings from HM. Wow! I think I should start my Xmas list now!

The Iraqi and Soviet Migs are terrific! Both F-104s are fantastic! The Hellcat "Minsi" is looks so good I'm not purchasing the Dragon version!

I think I need a rest, that's too many cool planes at one time for an old man!

My wife doesn't ask me what I want for Christmas. She just says "Make up your diecast Christmas list".

Re: Looking forward to the new planes!

I am definitely getting the Soviet and Iraqi Migs. I will get at least two of the TBM's and "the Minsi" bores me I want a 3 tone Hellcat like the beautiful plastic easy model one. The desert Stuka is a must have. Keep it coming HM.

Re: Looking forward to the new planes!

They put rockets and bombs on a Hellcat?????????

What's wrong with HobbyMaster hawkone? First they give us the same BORING version that Dragon is giving us, and then they mess it up with some really unnecessary ordinance. They trying to put Matchbox out of the diecast game or something? As my art teacher from college would say, "Spare me the visual turds please." I'm sure David McCampbell became such a great ace because he had all that "stuff" hanging from the bottom of his plane and his mud-moving exploits were legendary. Lets put a baby car seat in a Corvette or Barney decals on a Bf 109 while we're at it. Oh no! Corgi might have to become my favorite by default - time to hang it up now.

Actually, my Xmas list is for me - so I don't forget what I want to buy!

Because I am such a caring spouse, I choose to spare my sweetheart the anxiety of what plane(s) I want to get. So I buy and wrap them myself and set them under the tree with her name on them. Of course, nine times out of ten the boxes are empty as I have already taken them from the box and placed them in the collection.

Er, HT? I wish you could whip-up a little more passion when writing your point of view.

I can certainly see where you are coming from on this. I have been going back and forth on the McCampbell Hellcat since I first saw it from Dragon. I like the pilot, but he sure flew one boring plane! That's why I liked the HM version a bit as it had something interesting on it (even if they are, as you so succinctly put it, "visual tu..er, excrement") Obviously I don't have the reference materials at hand that many of the members here do, but I ask if the loadout on this model is historically inaccurate for both the pilot and this plane? If so, I don't want it for that reason alone.

THat is a good idea.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: Looking forward to the new planes!

I kinda agree with hottrap. Why a hellcat that dragon just did? HM may blow chunks on this one.
