Re: Looking forward to the new planes!

F6F-3 comes with rockets, detachable fuel tank, open or close canopy, interchangeable undercarriage, a stronger stand. It comes with a pilot it also has bombs and a torpedo.
As far as I know everything comes in the plastic shell and you can pick and choose what you want on the model.

Great! But please...NO SLIDING CANOPY. Removable, okay. But please keep the model to scale! So far, Hobby Master has done well on this. Hopefully they'll keep the models near the real deal!

I love the F6F, and am looking forward to getting at least three versions: 1) Gloss dark blue 2) Three tone blue/grey, and 3) RN camo.

Yum, yum...

Does Hobby Master realize they are making me as pleased as punch?

" and a torpedo"

The F6F was a torpedo bomber? Is this correct, never heard of it before.

Kabelace,
The F6F Hellcat is Fighter not a torpedo bomber.
You might be getting mixed up with the TBF Torpedo
Bomber.

No need to be so hard on yourself Hawkonevoodoo - I'm sure that a case can be made semantically for a torpedo being a type of bomb .

Re: Looking forward to the new planes!

The Hellcat was tested successfully to carry a torpedo. BUT, it never dropped one in combat.

Yeah, that's it, this is my story and I'm sticking with it. If we do get a torpedo supplied then we'll have one to add to the spare parts collection.

Had you ever played Wings of Fury back on the DOS platform you would know this to be true.

See, an F6F comes in low and slow on a Japanese carrier somewhere in the South Pacific.....or not.
