Re: HM Pls make J-10

Plnety of time for HM to do it since its focus is filling gaps ranging from the 30's to 80's. You might have better luck with Witty Wings though.

Re: HM Pls make J-10

I don't know if there would be many fans of the J-10 since it barely has any history and hasn't been widely exported. I don't think it'd be a wise model to commit resources on.

Re: HM Pls make J-10

Ebay store China-Legendmodel carries the J-10 in 1:48 (both single & double seaters) and also in 1:72. While their prices are "somewhat" high, my single experience with them was prompt and secure delivery. Some have said these were Gaincorp, tho I can't verify that. I got my 1:72 J-10 from the Toyhill_com Ebay store a little over a year ago. Toyhill "sort of" disappeared just as the Olympics started and their current diecast collection is minimal. China-Legendmodel carries other diecast Chinese aircraft and helicopters as well, including (currently) the SU-47 BerKut in 1:72 scale.

Re: HM Pls make J-10

I'd love to see this one, but I have to agree with forcerecon85 and vifam7 that this would not be a wise choice for HM

OMG it's so expensive there on China-Legendmodel. I can find the same thing here only by 35 USD. But I don't like the mould and scale. I would be happier to see a J-10 from HM in 1/72nd.

Question Re: HM Pls make J-10

Melilot: I'm confused....
Re the scale, the J-10 is available in 1:72;
re the mold, there was discussion about it in the Gaincorp form last year (while not considered excellent or superior, others seemed to be relatively satisfied);
re price, when I bought my copy, a little over a year ago, it was available from OMI for about the same price. Since then, the only places I could find it was Ebay from either Hong Kong or Chinese dealers.

However, one issue I ran into was the model's scale. Apparently, quite of few of the models shipped to US distributers were labeled 1:72 (the label was stuck over the original label on the box), but the model was actually the 1:48 scale item. I was able to get the correct scale model, but the box was totally in Chinese.
