There are two North Vietnamese MiG-21 models out in the Corgi Predators line using the Hobby Master moulds. Given that it is unlikely you will see one from Hobby Master proper for quite a while. Unfortunate because the Predators don't come with any air to air loadout- just rocket pods.

Re: North Vietnamese Mig-21

It is most unfortunate about the weapons fit - you can add weapons from other Hobby Master releases, though.

The two Corgi Predators releases are earlier MiG-21 variants (a PF and PFM) that are slightly different - for instance, the vertical stabilizer is thinner and there's no pronounced "hump" along the spine of the aircraft where the extra fuel tank is on later variants. I think these earlier variants only have one weapons pylon under each wing, and as it has already been mentioned, they were released with only two rocket pods each. They don't look half-bad though. The MiG-21PFM with the green mottled camouflage looks great!

I recommend picking them both up... they can be had for a song nowadays. No one seems to like the Corgi Predators line.

You can see both of them in the back row here:

Re: North Vietnamese Mig-21

Welcome, M1A1. Good to see another newbie posting. Enjoy.

I have the Corgi Predator North Vietnamese Mig-21 with the green blotching ----which, as you know, was made by HM to Corgi's specs-----and would recommend it, despite the rather minimal load options. It looks like a really menacing ambusher of my F-4s, which are on a nearby shelf.

Re: North Vietnamese Mig-21

Definitely worth buying. i took the weapons loads from my Russian Mig and switched it wqith my Predators mottled mig and now have the loadout I want on both.

I believe the Predators mottled camo Mig will be a hard to find classic eventually, as is the current HM Russian Mig.

Re: North Vietnamese Mig-21

Thanks for the feed back I just might put air to air missiles from a Hobby Master Mig-21 and also the Pilot I think that just might fill my needs.

Re: North Vietnamese Mig-21

Very impressive line up of MiG 21s, ChairmanMilo! I just wish HM will do a Syrian scheme someday to compliment that IDF/AF F-16 and A-4 you got sitting on the next level shelf.
