Re: Hobbymaster one-off models

No, not the TSR2!

I don't want it just in the anti-flash white paint.

I'd kill for a TSR2 in a what-if Cold War Tornado style green-grey livery. Even a two-tone Marineflieger livery would be cool.

Re: Hobbymaster one-off models

I saw the U2 on that list. I think you could certainly do multiple models including a NASA version. How about a Gary Francis Powell version as well? HM likes to work on historical aircraft such as the Fligh 19 Bermuda Triangle Avengers or the NASA F-104 that crashed into the XB-70.

Re: Hobbymaster one-off models

Considering the BAC TSR-2 never went into production it would only make sense that a die-cast version would be released in a few of its proposed operational camo’s as well as the white paint scheme it wore during mock up & testing.

RAF, RAAF, RCAF, USAF, NASA, Marineflieger, Saudi Arabian AF

Re: Hobbymaster one-off models

X-1 (pure beauty in orange)
Yak-15 (short lived and small but a spectacular mover for its size)
J7W Shinden (tail first fighter)
He 100 (was He 113, superior to the 109, but lost out due to politics, or so I've heard)
Sea Hawk (not many operational versions)
Ar 234 (first jet bomber)
Douglas Skystreak (the red experimental with the straight stubby wings)

Conceptual concept: Maybe a set of experimentals from various nations (the French, Brits, Soviets, and Americans all had some pretty unique designs) sold only as sets in 1/72. After all, it might be a good tax writeoff for HM.

Re: Hobbymaster one-off models

I think even without what if schemes TSR-2 would sell outstandingly well, it is probably with Miles M.52 most controversial and never regretted project of British aviation industry.

Re: Hobbymaster one-off models

The Skunk Word Recon birds do have less full plane camo options however they have a lot individual planes markings in much makes your choices not much different than Vietnam ear USAF F-4’s.

The SR-71 has operated with both the USAF & NASA so you have at least 3 camo’s to choose from. You could also release an M-21 Blackbird with the silver & black scheme.

The U-2 has operated with the CIA, USAF, NASA & The Republic of China Air Force (Taiwan). U-2’s even operated from carrier on at least two occasions.

Re: Hobbymaster one-off models

He 100 would also be nice, btw. not only politics but much higher price tag killed the project none the less way ahead of Bf-109 of the period.
