Sold Out!

I see the Hobby Master com hk web-site shows models the factory has sold out of. The picture has a "sold out' across the upper left. This doesn't mean you can't still buy the model, just that they are no longer available from the factory to the distributer. There may still be a lot in the pipeline. I take this as a good thing. I'm also not delaying some purchases I was putting off.

Looking at the 1/72 Propeller Air Power Series, the following models are sold out.

BF-110: HA1801, HA1803.

F6F: HA1101, HA1103, HA1104, HA1107, HA1108, HA1109

Ju-87: HA0101, HA0129, HA0110, HA0113, HA0135, HA0150

Kate: HA2001

P-39: HA1701, HA1702, HA1704

SBD: HA0102, HA0111, HA0112, HA0126, HA0130, HA0160

TBF/TBM: HA1201, HA1202, HA1203, HA1204, HA1205, HA1207, HA1208

T6: HA1501, HA1503, HA1504, HA1508

Re: Sold Out!

We should congratulate HM for their planning, production, and marketing, and for keeping their diecast fingers on the pulse of diecast collectors.

Re: Sold Out!

I still dont understand why they havent put out more modern stuff. They say that americans dont buy the modern fighters yet the A-10's are a favorite and dragon and witty sell them like crazy? Is HM talking about collectors only? there is a HUGE market for modern fighters outside hardcore collectors and the fact that Hm doesnt take advantage of this is very disappointing....

Cool Re: Sold Out!

Given that many HM subjects are not limited there should be the possibilty of an additional run should the demand be there. The good news is the the factory would have shipped their production and we still have some time to get what we need. If their products are being sold out I guess we can expect them to continue turning out the good stuff.

I don't know if this is HM's official stance, but if it is that is very disappointing. Modern jets are practically all I do! Especially American stuff. Unfortunately CW is the only company that puts out consistently good, fairly modern stuff. (aside from HM's jets) Dragon and Witty have some good attempts but rarely do they get it right enough to buy one and be perfectly happy with it straight out the box. (IMO)

The A-10 isn't a modern fighter. Also HM does more of the forgotten aircraft other companies haven't done, so if Dragon and Witty don't do something HM with enough interest will do it. Also remember that some people have waited 60 years for a certain World War Two era aircraft or 40 years for a Vietnam Era aircraft. I think we can wait a bit before an F-22 Raptor or a V-22 Osprey.
