Shark Mouthed Bf 110 arrived today.

Well the UPS man dropped off a neat package from Pete's today. One of the plane in the box was the latest Bf 110 sporting a toothy grin. Have to say the model looks pretty sharp. Looks like the folks at HM took serious the suggestion of shortening up the rear gun armament to better represent the twin MG81Zs. Neat looking paint scheme on this one and also comes with aircrew figures. Have to say I am quite pleased with this new addition.

Here is just one more example of Hobby Masters consideration of it's customers inputs. This one has the canopies for two of the earlier models (Would be nice if we could get them to do the first one too.). Have to throw in a photo of the canopies.

Re: Shark Mouthed Bf 110 arrived today.

Thanks for your pictures. If possible, could you post some pics with the 110 on the display stand? Would be nice to see that from different angles.

PS: Is it just me or have all the HM 110 a little bit toyish look?

That does look nice although the antennae does look a tad on the chunky side.

Nice pics CC, Thanks!!! Just wondering, wasn't there talk a while back about the canopies being in the open or closed position????

Nice, can't wait for mine. One question, does the pilot and gunner require a booster seat?

I would have to agree, I thought they looked kinda weird. I think HM has done a better job on their early planes like the Dauntless, Hellcat, and Avenger. Now they are looking, like u said, "toyish."

Re: Shark Mouthed Bf 110 arrived today.

I think it has to do with the lighting in the photographs.

They don't look toyish at all in person. Plus, the radar antennae look just fine in person too - I'm glad they are made that way. Photo-etching would be too delicate for all of the re-arranging that I do. I figure that photo-etched antennae would last one rotation. This new one looks great. Can't wait to get my hands on it.
