Same mold, different finish and packaging. Depends how much you like a wash. If you like it, Hobbymaster is better. If you like it clean, the Predators version is the way to go.

I don't like reggae. I love it.

Wha? Same mold? Is this true for the rest of HM's planes?

Re: Avenger---Hobby Master or Corgi?

As said above Corgi used Hobby Master molds for their Predators line.
Aside from the different packing & lack of wash on the Corgi versions, the Corgis also lack some small pad printing details that are found on the Hobby Masters such as prop markings.

No but it is true of these for sure:

Hellcat
Mig 21
Stuka (the later ones not the early Corgi ones)
Avenger
Starfighter
Dauntless

And remember, it's all HM and Corgi borrowed it and added paint and packaging not the other way around.

I have the Royal Navy Avenger from Corgi Predators and the Bush one
I have the Flight 19 and Atlantic ones from HM

The Predators packaging is really the best out there if that matters at all. It did some to me and I bought a few of the Navy Predators including the much maligned McCambell Hellcat which I love.

I prefer a cleaner model but on dark blue paint like the Flight 19 one, you can't see the wash so much and the paint is very true to shade I think.
The Atlantic Avenger from HM has no wash.
