Hobby Master Empire?

Some have posted before about the rising supremacy of Hobby Master, and I think I am now a believer.

I walked into Burbank's House of Hobbies this afternoon and there were stacks of new models everywhere (1/72 and 1/48 a/c and armor, even a RAAF Huey and diminutive pilots from today and yesteryear), all waiting to be shipped or placed on the shelves. I picked up the new camo A-10 with sharkmouth (my first warthog- very slick) and one each of the pilot packs. May get the torpedo-carrying Kate later.

I was just struck by all the new product, almost all of it on schedule as has been the case with earlier releases. Looked at most of the new models and, despite the variety and volume of on-time releases, there seems to be no noticeable slippage in quality control. Call me a believer and a fan. Keep up the good work Hobbymaster.

It is odd how in one year the diecast world turned topsy-turvy. It may be good vs. bad management, or just the throw of the dice (though luck probably pays a small part in business success). Whatever, HM has not only taken over the field, but sent the hobby in a whole lot of different and daring directions. Well done, HM!

Hey, me too.

My Spidey sense told me the new Kate was in, and so it was. Very cool model. So cool, in fact, that I may have to get the earlier B5N1 when it comes out, too.

Ditto your sentiments above. HM (and factory-sharing Century Wings) has really set a new standard for new models, quality and delivery.

Re: Hobby Master Empire?

lets take a look at this new direction. Diecast collectors love two things the most...accuracy and quality. Hobby master has begun to push the envelope of both of these qualities. Thus, HM will push other companies to do the same... dont forget HM has also given us great prices as well as subjects that havent been covered and probably wouldnt have with other companies.

And when they do have a new model they bring it out in 6 different flavours the first year. We don't have to wait year after year for a colour scheme we want.

Some people said too quick.

Re: Hobby Master Empire?

I started collecting diecasts because of HM and have great hopes for their future.,regarding the number maybe a bit more in 1/48 scale but for 1/72 I am pleased with the number of releases and liveries....excellent work and outstanding customer relations!

Re: Hobby Master Empire?

Ill think since HM and CW the diecast beging to be real model not toys!

Before the diecast was a little like toy but now the models are great with a lot of detail.
I'll hope other manufacturer made the same level of detail that HM and CW!

Its why HM have his succes it's normal>great model, great detail original camo!

CW for me had even better detail and the model are great but the schemes is not very different from model to model.

Anyway I'll buy always HM and CW the best diecast model actually.

Post Re: Hobby Master Empire?

H M have certainly kept the aircraft die cast market alive during the last year & all credit to them for producing on the whole excellent models at affordable prices & not being afraid to do the unusual.
Hats off to William once again for his willingness to listen & communicate to forumites on here & the DAF.....the classic example being the re-profiled canopy for the 1:48 Spit & of course the Bf110 too....will we ever see the correct U/C from Corgi for the AA32701 Halifax & will it be available as a free retro fit as per the HM Spit canopies?? H M has set the bar awfully high recently.

Oh man...how I wish I could have started my collection with Hobby Master! I started collecting over 10 years ago and, with a small percentage of exceptions, could have saved a lot of money by not buying all the inferior models I have. I'd be happier if my collection was 75% HM rather than 25%!
