Thumbs up Re: Next 1/48th from Hobbymaster

HawkOne,
Back to your original question, I would like to see HM concentrate on some of the many A/C that have not been produced than producing still another copy of something already out there. Yes, they have done a superior job on what they have done so far, and I am sure they could improve on many that others have produced, but lets get great new models from HM of the many that have not been produced as yet. So many planes, so few models!

ANYTHING Russian/Soviet WW2 In 1/48 would be fantastic! The La-7 being the first choice in my humble opinion.

I must dissent: I want a 1/48 P-51D produced with TLC, and I want it now.

Re: Next 1/48th from Hobbymaster

How about making some of the 1/72nd HM lineup into 1/48 scale like the Mig-21? Yeah that's it....I could use a 48th scale Mig-21 in NVAF and
Syrian/Egyptian/Iraqi camo and markings!

Oh yeah, that would be awesome! The MiG-21 is such an icon, we really, really need it in 1/48, in all kinds of liveries and variants.

But with the Syrian/Egyptian MiGs, I'd want some Israeli Mirage IIIs, A-4s, and F-4Es. So much ground yet to cover...

Re: Next 1/48th from Hobbymaster

I am sorry to hear the 1/48 Wildcat is cancelled. I would have bought one. I like the smaller planes done in the bigger scale. I dont have the room for P-61's or A-20's in 1/48. I am plan to get a buffalo and a I-16. I would like to see some of the smaller planes like the P-26 or the Japanese "Nate" fighter or even the Aussies own Boomerang fighter in this scale. Now I would like the P-61 and larger planes in 1/72. Any preproduction photos of this Russian I-16 fighter ?

Carousel makes a pretty nice Wildcat in 1/48, if you don't mind the lack of weathering and the price. I have the Butch O'Hare and I like it.

But I don't doubt HM would have made one at least as good, and cheaper.

And welcome to the forum!

HM will do one in 1/72 that is why they cancelled it. Just a guess but why do the same plane in 2 scales.

Re: Next 1/48th from Hobbymaster

How about a really nice looking 1:48 P-51D Mustang of George Preddy's "Cripes A Mighty" PE & P his last Mustang he ever flew of the 352nd Blue Nose Bastards of Bodney.
After all he is the highest scoring Mustang ace and no one makes this plane yet in 1:48.
Now the way Hobby Master makes there planes that P-51 Mustang would be sweet....No body out there makes a good P-51D model yet either...So it be a nice one to try.

George Preddy was......Just the greatest fighter pilot who ever squinted through a gunsight.
He was a complete fighter pilot.......Colonel John C. Meyer Deputy Commander of the 352nd.
