hawkonevoodoo - Break new ground. The first few releases of any new plane will sell like hotcakes. (Who will be the first person to make a V-173 joke?)

Re: Next 1/48th from Hobbymaster

This is a personal question, nothing to do with Hobby Master. Do you think that a plane like the Corsair or Spit, that has already been done by FM would be a good choice? Wouldn't a plane that hasn't been done by FM, Carousel 1 or EI or anyone else be a better choice?

It depends. I don't want an FM anything (unless their castings dramatically improve). But I do agree that EI's and Carousel's current line up are good ones and other models would be better choices. Personally, I think a 1/48 Corsair, Spit, P-38, and P-51D need to be made ASAP by either Hobbymaster, EI, or Carousel 1. They would sell like hotcakes.

Re: Next 1/48th from Hobbymaster

I would say that the Corsair and Mustang should be done by Hobbymaster, but only after we get some of the stuff that no one makes at all. Like a P-61, P-39, A-20, TBM, and a helldiver.

Agree...that and a few Russian types. (P-39 would be fun!)

I would say this (and this is just my humble opinion, your mileage may vary slightly) that some of FM's castings/molds on their 48th scaled warbirds leaves much to be desired, although there are a few exceptions of course..mind you, but I do like the idea that HM shall set the precedent to not follow the leader when producing any airplane that hasn't been done before. Having said that, I would still like to see the Corsair done in 1/48th scale (with some notable variant upgrades that I've mentioned before) and bestow upon some real accurate details that the FM lacks. I'm quite sure HM is up to the task?

Hawk... I was disappointed that the 1:48 Spitfire wasn't on the list of April / May releases. Do you have any information about its release date?
