Re: Next 1/48th from Hobbymaster

Thanks Hawk. Please let them know that it is just great to have a company that pays attention to us. Now, for my 1?48th scale P-61. You know I had to get that in there didn't you?

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: Next 1/48th from Hobbymaster

I've been told Hobby Master will not make the 1/48 Wildcat but there will be another plane chosen in its place but I haven't been told yet what the second aircraft will be. As usual, I will post any updates on my Hobby Master News page on my website as soon as the information becomes available.

Man, that would make my millennia if the chosen plane turns out to be the F4U Corsair!

With folding wings....

With removeable engine cover, gun bay panels, detailed cockpit, and a slew of variants up to the Korean War conflict.....ok I'll just have to keep dreamin' on!

I third the motion for a 1/48 Corsair. Someone (Franklin Mint doesn't count) will eventually do a 1/48, it might as well be Hobbymaster, right now!

Re: Next 1/48th from Hobbymaster

This is a personal question, nothing to do with Hobby Master. Do you think that a plane like the Corsair or Spit, that has already been done by FM would be a good choice? Wouldn't a plane that hasn't been done by FM, Carousel 1 or EI or anyone else be a better choice?

In the case of EI or Carousel - there is no point in covering the same ground. In the case of FM, there are many that could be redone much better, but the money will probably in breaking new ground, regardless.

Re: Next 1/48th from Hobbymaster

I would say that the Corsair and Mustang should be done by Hobbymaster, but only after we get some of the stuff that no one makes at all. Like a P-61, P-39, A-20, TBM, and a helldiver.
