HM Dauntless

I had wrote off the HM Dauntless because it seemed like it was overdetailed (like the FOV F-14) but I was wanting everyone that owns one to ring in on how it looks I'm starting to give this one some second thoughts

Tyler,
I am puzzled that you or anyone could ever consider a model 'over detailed.'...... Unless its a case of these new ones making others look bad by comparison?

They look just fine btw............

I thought it didn't look to bad.
Companies are willing to try something new
to see how we might like i guess.
Feedback from collectors point is a plus to them.

Tyler,

These models are extremely collectable. Details are not overly done and the molding is very fine. The panel lines appear darker in pictures, but in real life they are just right. I recently won the yellow winged Lexington on ebay and it goes well with my other 2 versions of this model. Compared to IXO's Dauntless, these are a great value for the money. From what I've read, they are getting somewhat rare as HobbyMaster is only doing two runs of its initial offerings and then switching the markings. The new Operation Torch plane looks great and should be out soon.

Doing what you want is freedom; doing what you like is happiness.

I like mine. Seems just the right balance between color and contrast (those dark lines).

What I meant (like in reference to the FOV F-14) was the panel lines being way too thick

Re: HM Dauntless

I love all three of mine, and was hoping the 4th one would be a Army version. I think one would look good in OD, but then I'm Army. Still, I highly recommend them for what my vote is worth.

I agree about the panel lines. Still think they look pretty cool (especially if they make planes not offered by other manufacturers).

Re: HM Dauntless

HM really set the industry standard with their Dauntless models: Everything about them is smack right on the money. Their Stukas are pretty hot, too.

Now, if Hobby Master could churn out a B-17 or ‘24 or ‘25 or ‘26 or, or, or ...
