What 1/48 WWI airplane would you like to see?

I'm sure that Hobby Master has no plans to produce any 1/48 WWI aircraft, but after seeing the incredible job they did on the F3F (the rigging!) I thought it would be fun to see what everyone wants for WWI aircraft. My personal choices would be:

- Sopwith Tri-plane
- Fokker DVIII
- Fokker Dr.1
- SPAD XIII

Re: What 1/48 WWI airplane would you like to see?

True ....Their rigging is way better then Corgi's are with the WWI fighters....But i don't think they have any plans to do a WWI
line just yet...They have too many other planes on their plate right now.
But a Fokker D7 would be cool to see.

Re: What 1/48 WWI airplane would you like to see?

How about ALL of' 'em!!!!!!

Seriously though, a few off the top of my head. I'm quite happy with my Carousel Fokker Tripes, and my Matchbox Spad XIII's (even though no rigging), and I have a rigged Hallmark Spad, an am looking forward to a Corgi Albatros, so:

Nieuport 17, 28, Fokker E III, D VII, D VIII, Halberstadt CLII, Sopwith Pup, Camel, Triplane, Snipe, DH 2, Morane-Saulnier L, N, and AI, Siemens-Schuckert D III (a cool looking aircraft!), Hanriot HD 1, FE 2b.

This is my "narrowed-down" list!

PS. this is not necessarily the correct place for this, tho it IS on topic.......I'd LOVE it if Easy Model would put out WW I birds, even if without rigging!

Heavy stuff, good idea Epapazian,
I would go for a Vickers Vimy anyday even though I don't collect WW1 stuff.

Alcock and Browns stiff upper lip flight across the Alantic would make it a must have for me.

Re: What 1/48 WWI airplane would you like to see?

I would like to see a couple of the pusher prop aircraft. Something like the DH 2, FE-8 or an FE 2b.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

My favorite WWI fighters are the Fokker D7 and Sopwith Camel.

Curtiss JN-4D Jenny and the US-made DH-4, the "Liberty Plane".
