Re: Pics: HA1805 BF-110G4

No, there are two -- and there is a letter in the box stating there are two. The letter says the canopies are meant for 1802 and 1803. I will confirm the paint question later, if I can, but I don't have those 110s. Which HM 110 has a vertically firing 20mm? (I'm not overly familiar with the aircraft type)

HA1803, Messerschmitt Bf 110G-4 Luftwaffe IV./NJG 1, G9+EF, Heinz-Wolfgang Schnaufer, has two upwards firing 20 mm in the rear cockpit.

I wonder if HM didn't include a new canopy for HA1801, Messerschmitt Bf 110G-2/R3 Luftwaffe II./ZG 76, 2N+EM, Defense of the Reich, because some references show it with the earlier style canopy?

That is exactly right, see my earlier post -- thanks for the info on 1803, I may have to acquire that one now.

I thought I read earlier that there were going to be three canopies included for all three of the previously released Bf 110. Have found one photo I believe is of the Defense of the Reich Bf 110, and it appears to have the later version canopy.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

The canopy on the HA1801 is correct according to one of my references. There is a color profile of Bf-110G-2/R3 "2N+EM" in Squadron's Messerschmitt Bf 110 Zerstorer in action, page 26, which shows the aircraft with a "F" style canopy.

But there is the same photo as Cruver posted above of '2N+EM' in Osprey's Messerschmitt Bf 110 Zerstorer Aces of World War 2 on page 94 that shows the aircraft did have the proper "G" greenhouse. I would prefer to have the "G" canopy that matches the picture.

I would also prefer the later G greenhouse canopy too. The Squadron issue also has the photo of 2N+EM on page 49 with the later canopy version compared to drawing dipiction on page 26. Keeping my fingers crossed for canopies for all three previous models.

Sorry, the model I have is final retail with two extra canopies and a letter explained a third is not needed for the first release.

I like the shark-nose and will buy it. I have all the other HM Me-110's plus 2 IXO's (Wasp & Desert versions). Wish Corgi would get their arse in gear and get theirs out soon!
