Robin Olds F-4C "Scat XXVII" ?

Does anyone want a Hobby Master release of Robin Olds F-4C "Scat XXVII" in Operation Bolo configuration?

I've considered Corgi's 1/72 Scat (not very good) and Franklin Mint's 1/48 Scat (no pilots, fixed landing gear and big fuselage gaps) and both have their drawbacks. Legendary ace Olds' Scat is an F-4 I'd very much like to have.

It would be nice to add a Hobby Master Robin Olds Phantom in my 1:72 collection of jets.

Absolutely, and an early pre-Vietnam livery would be great

Re: Robin Olds F-4C "Scat XXVII" ?

I think it's a must for 1:72-only collectors as it just belongs on the shelf with Ritchie and Cunningham...

Re: Robin Olds F-4C "Scat XXVII" ?

I think it would be a great idea. OP Bolo was a great idea and a better ambush! Plus Robin was a class act and a great officer. I would like him in his air to air configuration and QRC-160 radar jamming pods. Plus if anyone missed out on the Ritchie F-4 they can still get a Phantom in sexy SEA camo

Talking Re: Robin Olds F-4C "Scat XXVII" ?

Do any of experts know whether or not the below is an accurate depiction of his F-4C if the date is 20th May 1967?

Now if only Hobby Master released the above, Dragon released a Scat VI P-51D to go along with Corgi's Scat II P-38J, we could have all three of his famous mounts to sit together.

Re: Robin Olds F-4C "Scat XXVII" ?

I am sorry to say that over on DAF I asked the same question about the Old's F4 but William said that he thought that the Scheme was to close to the Ritchie's F 4 so we would have to wait a while see post # 268
