Re: A required Starfighter in my book.

That would make a great model for the HM F-104 line.
Matchbox was going to do that one before they went under, if I remember correctly there were even prepro pic's on the web.

Yes, I distinctly remember that MB was going to put out a polished F-104 as a set which included an X-1 and a Glamo Glennis 'Stang as part of the ChuckYeager collection! You got good memory there, PP!

Re: A required Starfighter in my book.

I couldn't agree more. I think that would absolutely make a world of difference on them and I don't know about the rest of you but if there's extra cost involved and I'm sure there is to give it a polished finish I'd be willing to pay for it.

I mentioned this paint finish to Hobby Master and asked if they could tell me the extra cost. It's approximately 5 times higher, that's for the paint finish only. Maybe this is why it isn't being done.

Hey Hawkonevoodoo Did they say anything about the Luke German F-104G's? The silver paint on the Really George is nice.

All I can do is submit the suggestion along with my opinion of whether or not it would make a good model. I did send it along with the recommendeation for them to consider it and now it is just "wait and see". If they do make it it won't be this year because the line up is full. Are there links to any photos of the actual plane? If they can see what it looks like it might stand a better chance of making it.

Re: A required Starfighter in my book.

I'll keep researching for photos, Does Luke AFB have a museum? There is the print, the photo you posted as well the photo Trundra04 posted. those three alone should give HM a good idea of the plane. I'll keep looking for a photo with the German colors painted on the underside of the horizontal stab.
