Re: What attack helicopter should Hobby Master release first?

Let's hear it for the big, black, Russian lizard! The Kamov Ka 52 ALLIGATOR!!!!

I've voted for the Hind since one cannot be sure about anything (i.e. announced doesn't equal production) when it comes to the Soviet / Russian birds. Ka-52 is indeed a bad ass, but it just entered production stage with a service deliveries a year away. So, I don't think it's a good candidate, but it's definitely something Western military forces need as it's designed precisely for "insurgency suppression" warfare.

Regards,

Sergey

I'm not an avid helicopter collector but I could be in the mood for something completely different. So I say bring on the Russians helos.

Not big into helicopters, but the old Cobra would be neat to have.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Well I just had to give it to the Rooivalk! While production of a model of one is unlikely it is a superb aircraft that has suffered as a result of international politics. That said, the Lynx is an all time favourite for me and I'm buy it in an instant! The South African Navy has also recently been equipped with the Lynx. Having seen the Hind perform, it too would make a spectacular model.

Re: What attack helicopter should Hobby Master release first?

I'd like to put forth that if a collector doesn't prefer the small size of the 1:72 Huey from HM, then an OH-58D would disappoint them even more. Italeri makes a 1:72 mold of the OH-58D. I built one for my collection.

Re: What attack helicopter should Hobby Master release first?

Hard decision. I'd like to see an AH-1G for my vietnam collection but I'm sure one at a decent price will eventually come. I'd like to see an OH-6 Cayuse with M134 Minigun. Later they could do the AH-6 Little bird and MH-6 from Somalia 1993 or in the near future the unmanned AH-6. I'd also like an OH-58 Kiowa, just the basic model for Vietnam and Canada. Then they could do the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior. Although their being modified for combat in Afghanistan as we speak, I'd love to have a CH-146 Griffin with M134's, 2.75" rockets and FLIR in a few years. I'd like them to be 1/72 since I can't build models and plastic feels too weak for something this small.

I should have thought of adding the BO 105 - the OH-56 option should maybe be replaced with the BO 105. Unique chopper, plenty of schemes to be made.
