Re: Hobbymaster Mig 15

Yes, A Mig 15 in any scale would be a great addition to the wonderfull HM line, but i would of prefered a 1/72 scale Mig 17 to go along with the Vietnam/Arab war era's.

You can order one at betterbuynoworitwillbetoolate.com (JUST KIDDING)...

Can't wait. This WILL be great. ZOOM ZOOM...

Re: Hobbymaster Mig 15

My preference would by for 1/48 scale, because not only is it a small plane in real, it would perfectly complement F9F and it would not be bigger than before mentioned.I can already see some interesting Honcho, Egiptian, Czech and E.German markings! Thank you HM.

I think FM already has one in 1/48, and it is spendy. They are $70 at the Mule (on sale now for $35). HM prices might be a little better, but in this day and age, we might find prices going even higher for all scales, so I'd like to stick to 1/72.

Re: Hobbymaster Mig 15

Personnaly, not for me, i prefer a mig 19 or a mig 23.
The mig 15 is a poor looking plane.

I know about FM MIG-15 but you cannot compare FM with HM which is quality wise light years ahead-so 1/48 for me!

But, all of us 1/72 collectors only have the Matchbox MiG-15, and besides being a horrible model, it was a horrible model!

How can you say such a thing?

Enlarged to scale it is really a briliant defense mechanism as the 20mm shells from the Sabres would pass right through the aircraft with little or no damage.

Clever Russians.

William, the image below is a fine example of what not to do.

Re: Hobbymaster Mig 15

Now that all my once unique Matchbox planes (F-100, F-104, F-86, MiG-15) are finally being redone, I may just have to box them up or sell them off...or turn them into Christmas ornaments. Hey, now there's a niche that HM should dive into...right now all we have is the Hallmark stuff to decorate the tree...
