Post Re: HM FW-190 Poll

I voted for the 1:32 scale bird but I would be greedy & buy 1:48 versions too if a quality manufacturer did one (not at all keen on the Dora)... the Fw190A-8 is a good choice by HM.

Thumbs up Re: HM FW-190 Poll

I'm not rich but I am an addict. A 1/32 Fw190 will greatly complement my 1/32 collection too. I'm in!

Re: HM FW-190 Poll

William that 1:32 F4U Corsair...
JP

You know I was rather surprised that HM didn't go for that big bird. That would've made more sense since many of us were asking for it too! Just think of
the many variants and schemes that HM could milkout from that mold: WWII through Korean War and other foreign users of the Corsair!!!

Btw, I will still get me that Fw-190 at any scale.

Re: HM FW-190 Poll

Voted for the 1/32nd 190, but probably would only get one. Would not mind seeing it done in either 1/32nd or 148th though.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Probably on a global scale the Fw190 is a better bet for sales ....the Corsair certainly would look impressive in 1:32 but it is outside my sphere of interest so no sale here.

Re: HM FW-190 Poll

1/48 only for me. I like to display my tanks and planes together and all in the same scale. I got rid of all my 1/72 and picked 1/48 as the scale I would stick with. No matter the detail or quality of their 1/32 release, I am staying with just one scale.

Re: HM FW-190 Poll

If I were HM and following this particular thread, I would have some misgivings about going 1:32nd sacle with the FW-190A. Our sample is pretty small, but it seems to portend relatively scant sales for the 1:32nd scale option, with most buying only a single example due to price and space considerations. In contrast, many 1:48 fans would consider multiple version buys, which looks like a tie-breaker, where sales volume is concerned. Assuming that a FW-190A is a firm go, rather than an F4U, for example, I would urge HM to reconsider its choice of scale and do this warbird in 1:48. I doubt that the quality aspect will be compromised to the extent that some claim. It certainly wasn't with the F2A. Also, there are countless interesting variants and schemes that could be produced for a FW-190A in 1:48th, which probably wouldn't be attempted for a 1:32nd scale version due to limited sales potential.

Re: HM FW-190 Poll

I voted 1/48 scale like most have said and I prefer to get more out of this scale than I would 1/32. Don't get me wrong now, I do have all but 5 of the pooch's 1/32 scale
Prototype Spitfire
'Jumpin' Jacques'
Lt. Freddie Hutchins
'Red 6'
Sea Hurricane
and would buy 1 or 2 of HM's 32nd.

Re: HM FW-190 Poll

I voted for the 1/32 scale because it would really enhance in extra detail this great warbird. However due to space constraints the maximum units would be two. If the democratic wish elects decides on 1/48 who am I to argue Either scale and it's a winner IMHO

Talking Re: HM FW-190 Poll

I vote for a 1/48 FW190 A8/A9 or F8/F9, as I have managed to stay out of the 1/32 arena...
